I am looking for any suggestions for a class name.  The winner will get the privelage of all pride of authorship and we will give you a big round of applause.  Seriously any ideas would be welcomed.

 Ruth Chapter 4

Greetings. I am excited about our next chapter that we are covering in our current Sunday school series.

Let me encourage you to read the current chapter.  I am looking forward to this chapter on Ruth.  Macarthur brings out some thought provoking questions and statements about the story of Ruth that I have not considered in the past.  Below you will find the section we will be covering in the current chapter and also a couple of questions that I would love to hear everybody’s opinion and insight on. Read Chapter 4 (pg.69-76)- this will be Part 1 of this lesson.  Next week we will cover the remainder of the chapter as Part 2.
  1. Here are a couple of questions to consider as you read this section:
  •              Was Naomi’s bitterness a “Job like” experience, where she endured a testing from God or was bitterness a direct consequence to the chastening hand of God?
  •              What passages can you find in the Old Testament and New Testament that gives us insight to the issue of bitterness?
  •              Why do you think the Bible refers to the sin of bitterness as  a “root”?

Like I said I am looking forward to class this Sunday.  I hope we can glean much from this chapter that will help us all in our Christian walk.  Thank you for your faithfulness and participation in the class.  If you have any ideas on something you would like to see done in class let me know.

God Bless,

Tracey Messer
